RALPH E. COON, age 83, of Galesburg, Illinois died on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 9:10 P.M. at Marigold Health Care Center in Galesburg, Illinois.
He was born on January 28, 1927 in Farmington, Illinois, the son of Ora and Leota Lumberry Coon. He married Eva Elaine Omohundro on June 20, 1965 in Galesburg, Illinois.
She survives of Galesburg, Illinois.

Son: Ralph (Stacy) Coon, Jr of Kimberling, Missouri
Daughter: Leota Ogden of St. Cloud, Florida
Ten Grandchildren and Ten Great Grandchildren
Three Step Grandchildren
Preceded in death by his parents and six brothers: Jim, Art, Dean, Dale, Ora and Tom
He was raised and educated in Farmington, Illinois. He worked for Caterpillar as government expeditor and retired in 1982 after 34 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Galesburg, Illinois. He enjoyed woodworking, music and gardening.
Cremation Rites will be accorded.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Farmington, Illinois. Rev. Daniel Siems officiating.
Procession will leave Hurd Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Illinois at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 6, 2010.
There will be no Visitation.
Memorials may be made to Galesburg Hospitals Ambulance Service or the Farmington Rescue Squad.
