|Robert Ray Miner, Sr., 73, of Galesburg died at 9:35 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2011 at his home.
He was born January 26, 1938 in Galesburg the son of Glenn Miner and Patricia Edsen.
He is survived by two sons, Robert Ray Miner, Jr. of Galesburg and Jim (Ketra) Brown of Pittsfield, Ill.; two daughters, Bonnie Ferrell of Saint Ann, Mo. and Kellie Williams of Pekin, Ill.; his twin sister, Donna Wheeler of Peoria, Ill.; his brother, James Clark, Jr. of Peoria, Ill.; a sister, Shirley Edsen of Galesburg; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Shelly Lynn Miner in 1968; a brother, John Clark and his sister-in-law, Jackie Clark.
Robert first worked for W.A. Jordan Company in Galesburg. He later worked for Rogers Brothers for 28 years. He enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Cardinals and visiting with his friends.
A Memorial service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday November 9, 2011 at the East Galesburg Community Chapel. Rev. Milton Marquith will officiate. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
