Mr. Joseph D. McSwain, 39, of Galesburg died at 11:50 pm Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at his home.
He was born April 4, 1972 in Tallahassee, Fla. the son of J. Earl and Margaret "Peggy" Dean.
He is survived by his mother, Peggy McSwain of Galesburg; a sister, Theresa (Kevin) Oller of Victoria, Ill. He is preceded in death by his father and his brother Leslie Dean McSwain in 1977.
Joseph worked as an Information Technology Assistant at Methodist Hospital in Peoria, Ill. He graduated from high school in Charleston, Ill in 1988 and Western Illinois University in 2004. He was a member of the Charleston Community Church. He enjoyed football and technology.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, November 11, 2011 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Lee Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM at the chapel.
