Karen L. Knowles, 67, a resident of St. Mary's Square Living Center in Galesburg, died there at 6:35 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2011.
She was born September 2, 1944 in Galesburg, the daughter of William C. and Bernice M. Burgess Knowles.
She is survived by a sister, Linda (and Benjamin) Price of East Galesburg; a half sister, Sandra (and Dave) App of Mexico; two nieces, Sonya (and Travis) Jones of Galesburg and Stephanie (and Travis) Smith of East Galesburg; a nephew, Stephan (and Tina) Wade of East Galesburg; and an aunt, Kathryn Burgess of Nashville, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Janet Knowles.
Karen attended KCCDD and was a member of the Locomotive Church Group for people with disabilities. She enjoyed music, especially Elvis, looking at photos, shopping, eating out, and collecting purses and purple pens.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, November 25, 2011 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Burial will be later in East Linwood Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com. |
