Cheesman, Patti Jo
Patti Jo (Cavanaugh) Cheesman, 63, of Galesburg, Il died at 7:25 A.M. Thursday, November 24, 2011 at St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.

She was born May 7, 1948 in Monmouth, IL. the daughter of Robert J. and Mary L. (Strong) Cavanaugh. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1966. She also graduated from Browns Business College in Galesburg in 1968.

Patti married Ed Cheesman in Monmouth on June 13, 1967 and he survives.

Patti was a homemaker. She also worked for Bowmans Shoe Store in Monmouth and later White Roofing, Fidelity Federal Bank, Guenther Construction, Bergners and Zales all in Galesburg. She enjoyed watching and taking care of her grandchildren.

She was of Methodist faith. She was a member of the Sigma Beta Phi Sorority.

Survivors include her husband; 3 children, Becky (Billy) Goedeke of Galesburg, Julie (the late Todd) Butler of Cameron and Robbie Cheesman of Knoxville; grandchildren, Zachary & Ashley Dixon, Preston & Jordyn Goedeke, Blake & Brooke Cheesman, Ashley, Jordan, Dylan, Hunter and Laney Butler; great grandson, Brody Todd Butler; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Michael Cavanaugh; son in law, Todd Butler.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth. Cremation will take place following the funeral services. Friends may call Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth where her family will be present from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Memorials may be given to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
