|Jacqueline Elizabeth "Jackie" England, age 77, of Gilson, Illinois died at 11:45 A.M. on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville, Illinois.
She was born on May 23, 1935 in Galesburg, Illinois the daughter of Walter and Theda Garrison Meythaler, but raised by her grandparents Thomas and Sarah Kennedy Garrison. She attended and graduated from Abingdon High School, Brown's Business College in Galesburg, Illinois. She married Sterling England on September 18, 2004 in Galesburg, Illinois.
Surviving is her husband, Sterling England of Gilson, Illinois; One son: Scott (Donna) Eugene Browne of Berwick, Illinois and one daughter: Lisa Ellen (John) Junk of Galesburg, Illinois. Four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren.
She worked for Abingdon Federal Savings & Loan in Abingdon, Illinois; the former Terry Lumber Company in Galesburg, Illinois and In Home Medical in Galesburg, Illinois.
She also taught acrobats in Abingdon, Illinois and attended the Computer Education Center in Galesburg, Illinois.
She was a member of the Knox County Republican Women's Club; Bunker Links Golf Course; Warren County Extension and Secretary of the Warren County Extension County Board; Active member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Galesburg, Illinois.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 6:00 P.M. at the First Church of the Nazarene in Galesburg, Illinois. Rev. Ron Scarlett officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Galesburg, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, Knox County Nursing Home or Harbor Lights Hospice.
