Unglesbee, Cecil L.
Cecil L. Unglesbee, age 86, of Knoxville, Illinois died at 10:20 P.M. on Monday, November 12, 2012 at his residence in Knoxville, Illinois.

He was born April 20, 1926 in Quincy, Illinois the son of Clyde and Elma Ferry Unglesbee. He was raised and educated in Quincy, Illinois and graduated Quincy High School, then attended the Dental Technician School in Quincy, Illinois in 1961. He married R. Marilyn Feaster on November 26, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri. She survives of Knoxville, Illinois.

Also surviving are three daughters: Yvonne (Tim Stomberg) Cramer of Knoxville, Illinois; Tonya (Jim) Shirley of Knoxville, Illinois; and Dianna (John) Vaughn of Knoxville, Illinois; six grandsons and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Eileen Lusk.

He was a Dental Technician for over 60 years specializing in Partial and Full Dentures. He owned and operated his own lab in Knoxville, Illinois. He served in the United States Army from July 11, 1944 to June 5, 1946, serving in the Chine Offensive, Central Burma and India Burma. He was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Service Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal and the China War Memorial. He was a member of the Monmouth VFW Post 2301 and the National Denturist Association.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois, with Military Rites conducted by the Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post #285. Rev. Phyllis Sterr officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, November 16, 2012 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois Private Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Guardian Angels. On-line condolences and sympathy cards may be sent through Hurd-hendricksfuneralhomes.com
