|Hollis M. Mosher, 78, of Wataga, Illinois died Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at his home.
Hollis was born July 10, 1935 in Dahinda, Illinois, the son of Hollis and Caroline Powell Mosher. He married Darlos Maxine Lambert in rural Delong, Illinois. She survives him of Wataga.
Hollis is survived by his daughters: Vicky (Dan Coordon) Metelka, Oak Run, Illinois; Debra (Jeff) McQue of Wataga, Illinois; Susan (Joel) Poole of Jacksonville, Florida; Laura (David) Wilson of Dunlap, Illinois and Kathy (Tony) Pressly of Galesburg, Illinois. He is also survived by a half-brother, Roger (Shirley) Fitzpatrick of Dahinda, Illinois, sixteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Grace Ingle and one granddaughter, Christine Metelka.
He graduated from Galesburg High School. Hollis was a corrections officer. He started his career in Pontiac, Illinois then moved to the Henry C. Hill Correctional Center, retiring after seventeen years.
He was a member of the Dahinda United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, motorcycling, archery and hunting.
