|Janice Mae Liby, 75, of 612 N. Front St., Oquawka, IL died Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 4:39 PM at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.
She was born on October 21, 1934 in Galesburg, IL to Clyde and Rosalia Lucas Pratt. She married Jack Liby on October 20, 1957 in Galesburg.
Janice is survived by her husband, Jack of Oquawka; three sons, Michael (and Victoria) Liby of Rancho Mirage, CA, Kurt Liby and Rick (and Beverly) Liby, both of Tucson, AZ; a daughter, Kathy (and Donny) Carlisle of Tucson; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A sister, Katy Farrell, preceded her in death.
She worked at the Gale Products in Galesburg for 15 years then at Burr-Brown Research in Tucson for 26 years, retiring in 1996. She was an employee trainer and participated in the opening of the Burr-Brown Research training facility in Scotland.
She was a 1952 graduate of Galesburg High School. She was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Galesburg and the Monmouth Chapter P.E.O.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Marilyn Anell officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon until 1:00 PM at the Chapel. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg.
