|Idella M. Maranville, 95, 443 East 6th Ave., Galesburg, died at 9:04 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2009 in Seminary Manor.
She was born January 12, 1914 in Knoxville, IL, the daughter of Herbert and Nellie Nelson Larson. She married Steven Maranville on April 24, 1937 in Knoxville. He preceded her in death on November 3, 1996.
She is survived by a son, Richard Maranville of Galesburg, a brother, Lewis Larson of Galesburg, 2 sisters, Dorothy Gabriel and Betty (and Don) Van Winkle, both of Galesburg, one grandson, Steven (and Penny) Maranville of Salt Lake City, UT and one great grandson, Adrian Maranville. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a sister.
Idella worked in food service at Knox College for 26 years, retiring in 1968. She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1932 and had lived in Galesburg since she was 18. Idella was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Funeral will be 10 AM Saturday, January 2, 2009 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Bishop Michael Wynkoop will officiate. Visitation will be 9 to 10 AM Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
