Bruce, Noah F.
Noah F. Bruce, age 92, of Rio, Illinois, formerly of East Moline, Illinois, died at 7:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at his home.

He was born on June 17, 1917 in Fredericktown, Missouri, the son of John and Priscilla Mae Irwin Bruce.

He married Margaret D. Tipton on January 27, 1945 in Yuma, Arizona.

She preceded him in death on September 19, 2007.

Surviving are: Daughters: Leanna (Thomas) Boynton of Rio, Illinois; Jeanette (Amos) Denham of Lakeland, Florida;

Grandchildren: Emily Boynton and Jacob Boynton of Rio, Illinois;

Step Granddaughter: Jill Myers of Topeka, Kansas;

Great Grandchildren: Alyssa and Tristan Boynton of Rio, Illinois;

Three Step Great Grandchildren of Topeka, Kansas;

Brother: Irwin Bruce of Jackson, Missouri;

Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; one son: Philip Michael Bruce; four brothers; and one sister.

He was reared and educated in the Fredericktown, Missouri area.

He served in the United States Army from September 24, 1942 until December 15, 1944.

He worked as a punch press operator at East Moline Metal Products for 18 years, retiring on disability in 1972.

Noah accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior after a life changing experience nearly 60 years ago. He lived out the second greatest commandment: Love your neighbor as yourself. He thought and cared about other people before he thought and cared about himself. Through his illness, he always welcomed everyone who came with a smile, never complained, and kept his sweet spirit to the end.

Cremation Rites will be accorded.

Private Family Services will be held at Hampton Cemetery in Hampton, Illinois.

There will be no Visitation.

Memorials may be made to the Family.

Hurd Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Oneida, Illinois in charge of arrangements.
