Huston, Gerald E.
Gerald E. "Jerry" Huston, 84, of Roseville, IL, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He was born July 15, 1926 in Frederick, IL the son of Irvin and Nelda Traeger Huston. He married Imogene "Jean" McMeins on November 21, 1947 in Beardstown, IL she preceded him on July 22, 1995. He later married Marilyn Raymond on February 21, 1998.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn; two daughters Jan (Richard) Brewer of Roseville, IL, and Pat Knight (Jay Wilkinson) of Monmouth, IL; two sons Gerald G. (Bonnie) Huston of Moline, IL, and David (Lisa) Huston of Dixon, IL; step children Vince (Sharon) Raymond of Monmouth IL, Vickie (David) Lloyd of South West Harbor, Maine, and Tim Raymond of Roseville, IL; 12 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren; siblings Paul (Bev) Huston of Sun City, AZ, Harold (Pearl) Huston of Virden, IL, Don (Irene) Huston of Mt Sterling, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 granddaughter, 1 brother, 1 sister.

Jerry was born and raised in Schuyler County. He enjoyed serving the public for over 40 years in the grocery business. He served as scoutmaster in Roseville for troop 336. He was an avid golfer where he made numerous friends in which they enjoyed the trips to Biloxi and Myrtle Beach. He loved to work in his wood shop. He also enjoyed traveling; but especially loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. He attended Roseville Christian Church.

Funeral service will be Friday December 17, 2010, 11:00 am at the Roseville Christian Church where Rev Tom Mehaffy will officiate. Family will receive friends Thursday eve December 16, 2010 from 5:30-8:00 pm at Corman Memorial Home Roseville, IL. Burial will be in the Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Monmouth-Roseville High golf team, Area 4 Special Olympics, and or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Please sign the guestbook at www.cormanmh.com.
