Mrs. Shirley J. Kennedy, 83, of Galesburg, IL, died 2:05 a.m. Saturday, December 25, 2010 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
She was born July 19, 1927 to Russell and Agnes Sandberg Webster. She married John E. Kennedy June 27, 1947 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death September 7, 1993.
Surviving is a son Joe (and Pam) Kennedy of Galesburg, two daughters Jo Ann (and Tim) Webber of Peoria, Ill. and Marilyn McMenimen of East Peoria, two brothers, Rod Webster and Clarence Webster of Galesburg, two sisters Kay Mercer of Springfield, Ill. and Gloria Biegelow of Tampa, Fla., five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son and daughter-in-law Richard and Marilyn Kennedy, a son-in-law Greg McMenimen, a brother Wayne Webster and a sister Mary Ross.
Shirley was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Galesburg.
Funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Corpus Christi Church. Rev. William Miller will officiate. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with a Rosary Prayed at 5:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Galesburg.
