|Betty Marie Corbin, 79, of Alexis, died at 7:18 A. M. Thursday, December 15, 2011 at her home.
She was born December 6, 1932 in Seaton, IL, the daughter of Gustaf and Anna (Lundeen) Anderson. She was raised and educated in North Henderson and Alexis and graduated from Alexis High School in 1950.
Betty married Gene Corbin at the Zion Lutheran Church, North Henderson on November 15, 1953 and he survives.
She worked at Knox County Oil Co, Galesburg for several years and was a homemaker. She enjoyed her grandchildren and sewing.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
Her family includes, her husband, Gene, children; Ruth Ann Corbin of Alexis, Roger (Connie) Corbin of Roseville, David (Colleen) Corbin of Little York, Debra (Michael) Peterson of New Windsor, Gena Alcorn of Galesburg and Bonnie (James) Aden of Alexis, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Rachel Peterson, one sister and one brother.
Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, December 19, 2011 at the Zion Lutheran Church in North Henderson with Rev. Beth Hamilton and Rev. Tim Anderson of the Altona Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, North Henderson. Friends may call after Noon on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Alexis where her family will be present from 2:00-4:00 P.M. Memorials may be given to the Zion Lutheran Church, North Henderson.
