Lois L. Cann, 96, Knoxville, died at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Knox County Nursing Home.
She was born March 14, 1915 in Tennessee, Ill. the daughter of Orville and Bessie Otto Johnson. She married Howard McClure, he preceded her in death in 1951. She later married Hubert Cann on November 20, 1974, he preceded her in death on January 14, 1996.
She is survived by two sons, Marvin (Carol) McClure of Sherrard, Ill. and Billy McClure of Nacogdoches, Texas; step son, Jimmy Cann; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, one son, a daughter, two brothers and four sisters.
Lois was a homemaker. She ran a restaurant in California for 5 years and also did housekeeping for several years. She graduated from Colchester High School. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Galesburg.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Friday December 16, 201 in Colchester Cemetery, Colchester, Ill. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com. |
