Baker, Evelyn "Patty" Mae LaReau
Evelyn "Patty" Mae LaReau Baker, 93, of Galesburg died at 2:17 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in Heartland Health Care Center.

She was born May 9, 1918 in Munster, Ind. the daughter of Frank and Mae L. McCormick La Reau. She married Joseph W. Flynn in 1936 in Crown Point, Ind. He preceded her in death in January 1972. She later married Gale Baker.

She is survived by four daughters, Loita (Gordon) Fisher of Council Bluff, Iowa, Naomi Lightfoot of Burlington, Iowa, Nadine (Ken) Groen of Des Moines, Iowa, and Becky (Gene) Mendez of Galesburg; ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son-in-law, Chuck Lightfoot; grandson, Troy Lightfoot; and two brothers, Clarence and Gene LaRaeu.

Evelyn was a homemaker and devoted mother. She attended school in Munster, Ind. Evelyn was a charter member of the Church of the Open Bible. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and was a very creative lady.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the Church of the Open Bible. Rev. Mark Dexter will officiate. Visitation will be 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Ill. Memorials may be made to the Church of the Open Bible. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
