Bailey, Helen J.
Helen J. Bailey 90 of Knoxville, Illinois passed away on Monday December 5, 2011 at 3:05 PM at the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville, Illinois.

Helen was born the daughter of Cyril and Eva (Craig) Gibson on January 24, 1921 in Altona, Illinois. She married Richard "Dick" Bailey on August 15, 1940 in Knoxville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1997.

She is survived by a daughter Judith (Gordon) Morris of Galesburg, Illinois and a son James Bailey of Wataga, Illinois, four grandchildren; Mark (Rachel) Bailey of Maine, Jason (Tracey) Bailey of Galesburg, Illinois, Brenda (Jon) Morelock of St Louis, Missouri and Amy Morris of Galesburg, Illinois. She is also survived by her six great-grandchildren; Nicholas Bailey, Shelby Bailey, Olivia Bailey, Shelby Nichole Bailey, Andrew Morelock, Kendal Morelock and one brother Robert Gibson of Elmwood, Illinois.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, parents 2 brothers and a daughter Carol Ann.

Helen was a member of the Knoxville United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, Knoxville Women's Club, Knoxville Women's Circle, MYN Card Club, Knox County Farm Bureau, and the Knoxville Pinochle Club.

Funeral Services will be on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Illinois. Burial will take place in the Maquon Cemetery. Memorial Donations can be made to the Knoxville United Methodist Church or the Donors Choice. Online condolences and sympathy cards can be made at www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com
