Field, Lee E.
Lee E. Field, 93, of Henderson, Ill. died at 7:51 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.

He was born April 26, 1918 in Galesburg the son of Clifford and Maude Robertson Field. He married Betty Anderson Klein in Galesburg on August 21, 1968. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Sandra Field-Nafziger of Chatham, Ill. and Pamela Field of Galesburg; a step daughter, Kathleen Klein-Blessing of Bend, Ore.; a step-son, Gerald Klein of Galesburg; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, a step son, one brother and two sisters.

Lee served in the US Army from 1941-1946 in Europe during World War II.

He worked as a carman for Burlington Northern Railroad for 37 years, retiring in 1978. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1936 and has lived in Galesburg his entire life. Lee was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #2257 and was a member of the Rio Masonic Lodge #685.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Kenneth Klein will officiate. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
