Hedges, Judith Fae
Judith Fae Hedges was born in Hammond Indiana on December 1, 1944. She was adopted at the age of 2 1/2 years by Roland E Rosenwinkel and Johanna C. Rosenwinkel (Szemkus). She was educated in the Crown Point (IN) school system -graduating from Crown Point High School in 1962. She was a telephone operator until she married Robert Raymond Hedges on May 18th, 1963. They were the parents of 5 children.

Judy had a heart of gold and a smile for all. She was an incredibly generous and giving person.

She was a good cook and loved being a mother and grandmother! She also raised lots of pets for her children. Her interests when she was healthy were, bowling, cooking, and spending time with her beloved friends. She loved to play bingo, which she enjoyed to her dying day on her computer.

Judy and her husband came to the Galesburg area when Agar packing came to Monmouth in 1966.

She and her family lived in Monmouth.

She is survived by 2 sons, Brian (Jeannine) of Byron, IL, James (Daphne) of Monmouth, and a daughter Connie of Galesburg (Mom was my soldier). Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and a very special friend Ruthie. She was preceded in death by her youngest son Tony who lived in Nashville, TN and her son Michael who lived in Mineral, IL and their father Robert and her parents Johanna and Roland.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Friday, December 14, 2012 at Mary Allen West Towers in Galesburg. Graveside Services will be at 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery, Monmouth, IL. Deacon Rod Gray will officiate. Memorials can be made to St. Jude's or the Knox County Humane Society of Galesburg. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois in charge of arrangements.
