| Northgate Lanes Fire Prompts Galesburg High School to Move Annual Bowling Tournament |
POSTED 1:35 p-m 1/13/10 A fire Wednesday morning at the facility that serves as the home for Galesburg High School's girls bowling team is prompting officials at the school to move an annual tournament to another location.
The fire damaged Northgate Lanes at 1576 North Henderson Street around 6:30 a-m. Galesburg High School holds its bowling invitational tournament at Northgate, but due to the damage there, GHS Athletic Director Ralph Henning says the tournament will be held at Pekin's Sunset Lanes.
Henning says the start time remains at 9 a-m Saturday. Directions to the bowling alley in Pekin are available online at www.streaks.org. |
