Three girls high school basketball teams from the area hold down half of the top six spots in this week's Associated Press polls.
Brimfield (19-3) retains its #1 ranking in Class 1A. The Indians received eight votes for the top spot. Ridgewood (22-1) remains at #3 and Knoxville (20-6) hangs in at #6. Annawan received seven votes for top ten consideration.
Rock Island Alleman (15-8) stays at #4 in this week's Class 2A poll. The Pioneers are one of two Western Big Six teams ranked by the A-P. Moline is the other. The Maroons (19-1) are #3 in Class 4A, the same as last week.
Peoria Richwoods (14-3) dropped to #8 this week after a #5 ranking last week. |
