Prairie Fire Women's Basketball Team Dominates Lincoln Christian
Knox College's women's basketball team was dominant in every way in defeating Lincoln Christian University.

The Prairie Fire scored an 88-20 victory, setting a new school record for the largest winning margin. The previous record was set last year, also against Lincoln Christian, when Knox won by 59 (77-18).

Leading the Prairie Fire were Erin Navolio (Hinsdale, IL), Krystyna Williams (Evanston, IL) and Abby Owens (Grinnell, IA). Navolio had a team-high of 13 points, with four rebounds, three assists and two steals. Williams had 12 points, three rebounds, one assist and one block. Owens added 11 points, one rebound, six assists, and four steals.

Ali Hidden (Peoria, IL), Lynn Mueller (Woodridge, IL), and Kate Moon (Kahoka, MO) each added 10 points in the win. Knox put up 46 points in the first half and another 42 points in the second half.

The win improves Knox College's record to 7-8 overall. It's the first time since the 2001-02 season, when the Fire had an 11-12 record, that the team has had more than six wins.

Knox College hosts Monmouth College on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. for Basketball Homecoming. The Prairie Fire have not won against the Fighting Scots since February of 2002.
