Scots Turn Up the Pressure Against Greenville; Win Second Straight
Monmouth 60 (5-4, 0-3), Greenville 43 (3-6)

Monmouth College's women's basketball team used a stifling defense led by Alison Andrews' school-record six blocks to post the win at home against Greenville College.

The Scots forced 21 Panther turnovers in the first 20 minutes and hit three consecutive three-pointers early to build as much as a 14 point lead before intermission.

Monmouth needed every point as Greenville came roaring back in the second half to tie the game for the first time since the opening tip with a pair of free throws at the 8:29 mark. The Scots immediately answered with a 13-0 run to put the game away.

Justine Boone drained four three-pointers to lead with a game-high 18 points. Lynsey Barnard added 15 points and dished out six assists while Andrews rounded out the double digit scorers with 12.

The win was the second straight for Monmouth, which is now 5-1 in non-conference play and 4-3 at home this season.
