High School Boys Basketball
The weather again canceled or postponed several athletic events around the area. Among the games that were played:
-Abingdon stifled Farmington on defense and won 42-18
-Knoxville beat Lewistown 46-43
-Williamsfied down Elmwood 49-44
-Galesburg had a rare Friday night off and resumes play Saturday night in a non-conference game.
The Silver Streaks travel to Macomb. Galesburg's record is 7-7 after a loss in the third-place game to Teutopolis in the Charleston Holiday Tournament.
Macomb is 9-4 and finished as the runner-up to top seed Canton in the Macomb-Western Holiday Tournament. The Bombers' Olympic Conference game Friday night at Orion was postponed.

-Rockridge got past Sherrard 44-41 in overtime in an Olympic Conference game
-Rock Island beat Alleman 58-50 in the only Western Big Six Conference game Friday night
-United Township tripped Normal West 61-52 to snap the Panthers' two-game losing streak
-Monmouth-Roseville was idle Friday night. The Titans take part in the Tolono Shootout Saturday afternoon against Warrensburg-Latham at 1:30.
-Princeton stopped Kewanee 70-60
-Canton (10-3) fell to 1-3 in the Mid-Illini Conference in a 60-43 loss at home against Morton
-Peoria Manual (11-4) cruised past Peoria Woodruff 80-54 in Mid-State Six Conference play
-Peoria Richwoods (12-1) took down Peoria Notre Dame in the Mid-State Six 49-45 to
High School Girls Basketball
