|Illinois Rallies to Win at Indiana
|BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) -- D. J. Richardson's 17-footer with 1:10 to go gave Illinois its first lead in more than 36 minutes, and the Illini held on for a 66-60 victory at Indiana on Saturday.
It's the first time Illinois (11-5, 3-0 Big Ten) has won in Bloomington in consecutive seasons since 1997 and 1998.
Mike Tisdale led the Fighting Illini with 27 points and nine rebounds, while Demetri McCamey came off the bench to score 19 points.
The Hoosiers (7-8, 1-2) were led by Verdell Jones with 13 points and freshman Jordan Hulls, who matched his season high with 12 points.
But the difference in this one was free-throw shooting.
Indiana was called for 28 fouls, and Illinois made 27 of 39 free-throw attempts. The Hoosiers were 10 of 18 from the line, blowing a 15-point first-half lead in their second straight loss.
