| Jackson Tells ESPN He's Stepping Down After Season |
UNDATED (AP) -- The Los Angeles Lakers will have a new coach next season. At least that's what current coach Phil Jackson told ESPN-Los Angeles today.
Jackson says this really is his final season, adding that he wants to do this for himself.
Jackson said last September that he was uncertain whether he'd retire after the season. He decided to come back last summer with a chance for a fourth "three-peat" as a head coach, and his second with the Lakers.
