| Bulls' Rose Feeling Better |
DEERFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose says he's feeling better after battling two stomach ulcers the past week.
The All-Star point guard says the condition is "not painful anymore." He spoke after practice on Monday.
Rose's problems started early last week, and doctors found the ulcers on Wednesday. Despite the pain, he played in wins over Orlando and Indiana on Friday and Saturday, scoring 22 points against the Magic and 20 against the Pacers.
The ulcers made eating all but impossible and forced Rose to live off protein shakes, but he did have a waffle on Monday. Also, his weight was back up to 211 _ two pounds below normal.
