| Cutler Gets First Postseason Shot With Bears |
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) -- This time, Jay Cutler avoided the deep route.
He opted for short answers, revealed little, and insisted it was "business as usual" as the Chicago Bears prepared for their divisional playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
Not since the 2006 team made the Super Bowl have the Bears (11-5) been working this late and Cutler is finally leading a winner for the first time since his senior year in high school, so it wasn't exactly business as usual around Halas Hall on Friday.
Staring at them is a team that slipped into the playoffs with a 7-9 record, then knocked off defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans behind a memorable touchdown run by Marshawn Lynch and a superb effort by Matt Hasselbeck. (Copyright 2011 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
