MOBILE, Ala. (AP) -- Northern Illinois and Arkansas State bring productive quarterbacks and long winning streaks into the GoDaddy.com Bowl on Sunday.
Northern Illinois senior Chandler Harnish is the top rushing quarterback in the Football Bowl Subdivision, averaging more than 106 yards. He's also thrown for 2,942 yards, 26 touchdowns and only five interceptions.
Arkansas State has its own star quarterback in Ryan Aplin. The junior has numbers similar to Harnish, with 3,235 passing yards, 18 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He's also the team's leading rusher.
The Huskies have an eight-game winning streak and won the Mid-American Conference while the Red Wolves are riding a nine-game winning streak and won the Sun Belt Conference. Arkansas State is playing under interim coach David Gunn after Hugh Freeze left for the same job at Mississippi.
