Injuries Hobble Illinois Ahead of Nebraska Game
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois could be without two of its starting guards when it hosts Nebraska.

Illinois coach Bruce Weber said Friday that senior point guard Sam Maniscalco will likely miss the Big Ten game Saturday with ankle problems. Junior shooting guard D.J. Richardson will at best see limited time for the Illini (13-3, 2-1 Big Ten) after injuring his wrist.

Maniscalco missed Wednesday's win over Northwestern with the ankle injury. Weber said Maniscalco may also miss Tuesday's game against Ohio State.

Weber said Richardson fell on his shooting wrist in practice Thursday and won't know how much he can play or if he can go against Nebraska (8-6, 0-3) until just before Saturday's start.

Freshman Tracy Abrams would play for Maniscalco. Another freshman, Myke Henry, will take Richardson's minutes.
