New PSU Coach O'Brien Set to Meet Nittany Lions
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) -- Just two days into his new job and Penn State coach Bill O'Brien is already getting a standing ovation.

Joe Paterno's successor received a hero's welcome when he was introduced to fans at the Jordan Center during a break in the first half of the basketball game Sunday between No. 12 Indiana and Penn State. The Hoosiers won 88-82.

Fans erupted into a cheer of ''We Are ... Penn State!'' while O'Brien shook hands with pep band members and students.

He was scheduled to have his first team meeting later Sunday before returning to Foxborough, Mass., where he plans to stay on as the New England Patriots offensive coordinator for the remainder of the NFL playoffs. The Patriots, the AFC's No. 1 seed, have a bye this week.

O'Brien was formally introduced Saturday as Penn State's new head coach, replacing the fired Paterno.
