| Selig to Present Award at White Sox Fan Festival |
CHICAGO (AP) -- Commissioner Bud Selig will present White Sox chairman Jerry Reinsdorf with the 2011 Commissioner's Award for Philanthropic Excellence and talk with fans later this month.
Selig will present the award to Reinsdorf during the opening ceremonies of SoxFest on Jan. 27. The White Sox are being recognized for their volunteer program, which the team says has been responsible for the donation of more than $510,000 to nonprofit organizations over the past three years.
Selig will also be part of a panel, fielding questions from fans and discussing the state of the game with White Sox broadcaster Ken Harrelson.
