HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL
A late free throw doomed the Galesburg Silver Streaks Boys Basketball team Friday night, losing a Western Big 6 Conference game to Moline 57-56. Galesburg Coach Mike Reynolds reportedly called the referee team at last night's game the worst he's ever seen, after GHS got 22 fouls on the night, compared to Moline's 9.
The GHS Sophomores lost to Moline as well, 56-51.

The West Central Heat Boys Bowling Team is at the State Tourmanent this weekend for the third time in four years. The boys qualified for the finals Friday for the first time in team history, which start Saturday morning in O'Fallon. |
