High School Boys Basketball

Rowva's big first quarter was the difference as the Tigers routed Galva 49-34 in the Lincoln Trail Conference Tournament. Rowva opened up a 21-5 lead in the first eight minutes of the game. Andrew Kovacik led the Tigers with 15 points. Matt Shepherd chipped in with 10. The two combined for four of Rowva's seven three-point baskets. Nobody from Galva reached double-figure scoring.

College Basketball


Knox College came back from an eight-point halftime deficit to beat Illinois College 67-63.

Lake Forest College beat Monmouth College 80-53

Carl Sandburg College lost to Black Hawk College 85-68


Knox College beat Illinois College 68-49. The sweep by the Prairie Fire men's and women's team is the first against Illinois College since December of 2007.

High School Boys Swimming and Diving

Galesburg High School won a dual meet against Rock Island 95-85 in the Silver Streaks' final home meet of the season
