PEORIA, Ill. (AP) -- Sam Maniscalco sank two free throws with 12 seconds left and Toure' Murry missed a 3-pointer in the closing seconds as Bradley held on to edge Wichita State 75-73 Wednesday night. Maniscalco had his first career double-double with a game-high 19 points and a career-best 10 assists for the Braves (15-13, 9-8 Missouri Valley), who clinched a quarterfinal berth in the conference tournament. Andrew Warren added 18 points, Taylor Brown 11 and Dyricus Simms-Edwards 10 for Bradley. Clevin Hannah and Murry scored 15 apiece for the Shockers (22-8, 11-6). J.T. Durley had 13 points and 13 rebounds, and Graham Hatch and Garrett Stutz hit 12 points each. Hannah's 3-pointer tied it 73-73 with 44 seconds left. After a Bradley miss, Wichita State had a chance to go ahead, but Brown stole the ball, setting up Maniscalco's winning free throws. (Copyright 2010 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
