| East Takes Down West in NBA All-Star Game; Miami's Wade Named MVP |
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- They do everything bigger in Texas, including All-Star game crowds. A crowd of 108,713 at Cowboys Stadium watched the East outscore the West 141-139 in the 59th NBA All-Star game. That's the largest crowd ever to watch a basketball game. All-Star MPV Dwyane Wade of Miami scored 28 points and Dallas native Chris Bosh of the Toronto Raptors made the winning free throws with 5 seconds left. LeBron James added 25 points for the East. Carmelo Anthony led the West with 27 points and 10 boards, but missed a final three-point try at the buzzer. The largest cheer of the night came when Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, the co-architects of this exhibition, came onto the court to announce the record crowd.
