| Canucks Rally with 2 in 3rd to Beat Blackhawks |
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) -- Daniel Sedin scored with 4 minutes left to take over the NHL scoring lead and lift the Vancouver Canucks to their fifth straight win with a wild 4-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night.
Daniel left the puck for twin brother Henrik, who tied the game on a power play six minutes earlier, and then redirected the return feed toward the net. It hit a Chicago defenseman in the slot and fluttered over goalie Marty Turco.
Daniel, who also had an assist on Henrik's tying goal, moved one point ahead of Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos for the league lead with 69 points.
Dave Bolland, who had a goal waved off mysteriously in the first period, put Chicago ahead 7:47 into the third when rookie defenseman Chris Tanev batted a shot that was going wide into his own net. (Copyright 2011 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
