| Vonn Improves, But Racing Status Still Uncertain |
GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (AP) -- Lindsey Vonn's condition has improved following a relapse of concussion symptoms, but the American still isn't sure she'll compete in Friday's super-combined race at the world championships.
After skipping the opening downhill training session Wednesday, Vonn completed a full run of training Thursday wearing a puffy white jacket and blue snow pants to slow her down.
Vonn says she felt good during the training run and will wear her normal racing suit on Friday. Still, she says she will treat the downhill portion of the race as a training run, and stop if she feels problems at any point.
If the downhill portion goes well, then she might enter the afternoon slalom leg. (Copyright 2011 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
