Two Out of Three Ain't Bad
UNDATED (AP) -- Two of the three games on tonight's NBA schedule involve a pair of legitimate contenders -- the other, not so much.

Miami at Orlando gets things started. The Heat have won three in a row and hold a 3 1/2-game lead over the Magic and Atlanta Hawks atop the Southeast Division standings. Miami's 34-14 record is good for a second-place tie with Chicago in the East race. They are three games behind the defending conference champion Boston Celtics. The Magic are tied for fourth.

Later on, league leader San Antonio takes on the defending NBA champions in Los Angeles. The Lakers are second in the West, 6 1/2 games behind the 40-8 Spurs.

Also tonight, Golden State hosts Milwaukee.
