Quincy Notre Dame Routs Breese Central in Girls 2A Final
NORMAL, Ill. (AP) -- Jordan Frericks scored 22 points to lead Quincy Notre Dame to a 63-31 rout of Breese Central in the IHSA Class 2A girls basketball state championship game Saturday at Illinois State University's Redbird Arena.

The Raiders got a combined 22 points from Kristen and Kassidy Gengenbacher and applied relentless pressure that forced the Cougars into committing 21 turnovers. The victors also blocked seven shots.

It is the 22nd consecutive win and the second-straight championship for the Raiders (33-1).

Taylor Voss led the Cougars (30-6) with nine points and five rebounds and Maddie Timmerman added seven points and six rebounds. Breese Central was held to just 24-percent shooting.
