| White Sox Try to Measure Success in Ventura's 1st Year |
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Chicago White Sox captain Paul Konerko says his team can be successful in 2012 even if they fall short of the playoffs. The veteran Konerko, who is entering his 16th season in the majors, pointed to the young players and rookie manager Robin Ventura. He says he expects to White Sox to compete and could be successful in the American League Central Division race. The White Sox finished 79-83 and third in the division last season.
