HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL
A good game all around for the Quincy Blue Devils proved to be too much Friday night for the Galesburg Silver Streaks, losing to their Western Big 6 conference foe 66-57. Quincy shot 28 of 32 from the foul line en route from the victory, two players alone combining for 14 out of 18. Quincy's victory and a win by Rock Island last night left the Rocks alone in first place in the conference, but Quincy could end up sharing the title if their three conference games upcoming are won.
The Streaks head to the Chicago area Saturday to take on Blue Island. Pregame at 6:10, tipoff at 6:30, on WGIL and WGIL.com. Before that, the GHS girls travel to Dunlap for a non-conference afternoon contest. Pregame at 1:10, tipoff at 1:30, on WGIL and WGIL.com.
