The second season steps off Monday night for some high school boys basketball teams.



@ Geneseo:

Genseo and Sterling play Monday for the right to move advance to Tuesday night's semifinal game against top-seed, #6 ranked Rock Island. #2 seed Galesburg tries to extend its season Wednesday night against #3 seed Dixon.

@ Peoria Notre Dame:

Peoria Woodruff and Dunlap square off in Monday night's play-in game. The winner meets #1 ranked Peoria Richwoods Tuesday night in the semifinals.

@ Bartonville:

East Peoria and Metamora meet Monday night for the right to take on #1 seed Washington Tuesday night in the semifinal round.

The Class 4A East Moline Regional begins Tuesday night with top seed and Western Big Six Conference co-champion Quincy playing #4 seed Pekin. Big Six rivals #2 East Moline and #3 Moline meet in Wednesday night's other semifinal game.


The Class 1A and 2A sectionals begin Tuesday night.

#4 Brimfield takes on Lewistown in the first semifinal game of the Class 1A Bushnell Sectional. Orion and Camp Point Central square off in the other semifinal game Wednesday night. The winners meet in the sectional championship game Friday night.

Rock Island Alleman meets Kewanee in the first semifinal game of the Class 2A Farmington Sectional Tuesday night. #2 Peoria Manual plays Fieldcrest in Wednesday night's other semifinal game.

High School Girls Basketball - Postseason

Class 3A and 4A teams are vying for spots in this weekend's state tournament at Redbird Arena.


Peoria Richwoods meets Hillcrest Monday night in the Streator Supersectional. The winner moves on to the state tournament to play the winner of the Elgin Supersectional match-up between Johnsburg and Oswego.
