@ Bushnell:
#4 ranked Brimfield's season came to an end in the semifinal round. Lewistown (23-6) prevailed with a 60-44 victory. Ian Simpson led four Lewistown players in double-figure scoring with 13 points. Jake Spietz led Brimfield (28-3) with 14. Lewistown meets the winner of Wednesday night's other semifinal game between state-ranked Orion and Camp Point Central in the sectional championship.
CLASS 2A
@ Farmington:
Kewanee ended Rock Island Alleman's postseason run with a 55-50 victory against the Pioneers. The Boilermakers (18-14) outscored Alleman 32-24 in the second half after trailing 26-23 at halftime. Jordan Hart led Kewanee with 21 points and Matt Carlson added 16. Matt Correthers scored 18 points for the Pioneers, who bow out with a with an 8-21 record after winning the Sherrard Regional. Kewanee plays the winner of Wednesday night's other semifinal game between #2 ranked Peoria Manual and unbeaten (29-0), state-ranked, Minonk Fieldcrest.

@ Geneseo:
Top seed and #6 ranked Rock Island defeated Geneseo 45-29 to advance to the regional championship game. It was the second win this season by the Rocks against the Maple Leafs. Rock Island (21-6) will play the winner of Wednesday night's other semifinal game between #2 seed Galesburg (18-11) and #3 seed Dixon (15-12). The Silver Streaks have beaten the Dukes in the last two meetings between the teams - during the 2006-07 season at Thiel Gym and at Dixon in the 2007-08 season. @ Peoria Notre Dame:
#1 ranked and top seed Peoria Richwoods jumped out to a 13 point first-quarter lead and defeated Dunlap (2-22) 69-49. The Knights (25-2) meet the winner of Wednesday night's semifinal game between Mid-State Six Conference rivals #2 seed Peoria Notre Dame and #3 seed Peoria Central.

@ East Moline:
Top seeded Quincy beat Pekin 56-41 to advance to the regional championship game. The Blue Devils (19-6) will face the winner of Wednesday night's semifinal game between Western Big Six rivals United Township (17-8), the #2 seed, and #3 seed Moline (15-10). |
