NCAA Men's College Basketball Tournament Roundup -- 3/26/10
HOUSTON (AP) _ The road to the Final Four ended in a car wreck for tiny Saint Mary's.

Baylor clobbered the 10th-seeded Gaels 72-49 behind 23 points from LaceDarius Dunn and an exemplary all-around effort from Tweety Carter, who had 14 points.

The win in the South Regional semifinal eliminated tournament darling Omar Samhan and Saint Mary's, the tiny school from northern California that showed last week it could play with the big boys. Samhan finished with 15 points and Ben Allen had 16 points for the Gaels.

Baylor will play Duke on Sunday for a trip to the Final Four. The top-seeded Blue Devils downed Purdue 70-57 to reach the Elite Eight for the 12th time under coach Mike Krzyzewski, but the first time since 2004. Kyle Singler scored 24 points and Jon Scheyer added 18.

ST. LOUIS (AP) _ Brian Williams scored on a tip-in with 32 seconds left, Bobby Maze converted a pair of free throws and J.P. Prince blocked Evan Turner's desperation 3-pointer at the buzzer in Tennessee's 76-73 victory over Ohio State in the Midwest Regional semifinals.

Turner led all scorers with 31. Wayne Chism led the way with 22 points and 11 boards for the Vols.

It's the first trip to the round of eight in school history for the sixth-seeded Volunteers. They'll play fifth-seed Michigan State in Sunday's Midwest Regional final.

Tom Izzo's Spartans beat pesky Northern Iowa 59-52 behind Darrell Summers' 19 points. Northern Iowa, which knocked off top-seed Kansas last week, couldn't pull the upset lever two weeks in a row.

The Spartans are one victory away from their sixth trip to the Final four in 12 years.
