HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL
Abingdon scored most of their runs in the first two innings, en route to a 11-5 defeat of Hinckley Big Rock Saturday during the "Route 41 Series." Brad Seidel was the winning pitcher for the Commandos, going 6 innings, giving up 5 runs and six strikeouts. Seidel and Tyler Johnson also had three RBI's. And, Seidel even played catcher in the 7th inning.

The Galesburg Silver Streaks ended up 1-3 at the Jacksonville Tournament this weekend, after beating Metamora 14-8 Saturday, but later losing to Elmhurst Immaculate Conception 6-5. No other information about the games was available Sunday morning.
The Galesburg sophomore baseball team is now 5-0 on the season after taking both games of a doubleheader Saturday with Morton, 2-1 and 9-2. Colton Crain got his first win on the season for the Streaks in Game one, with Luke Ryan getting the save. Austin Gernant pitched 4 innings to get the victory in game two.

HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL
The Galesburg Silver Streaks took both games of a double-header with Rockford Guilford Saturday, 8-6 and 6-5. Jessica Davidson was the winning pitcher in both contests, going 7 and 8 innings, giving up all the visiting team's runs in both games with a total of 15 strikeouts. The Streaks (4-1) next play at home Tuesday vs. Morton.
The GHS J/V Squad dominated Rockford Guilford Saturday, shutting them out 16-0 in game one, and overpowering them 24-3 in Game 2. Chloe Anderson pitched 5 scoreless innings in game one, giving up 9 strikeouts, while Kaylee Mersher pitched 4 innings and gave up 11 strikeouts in game two, and also provided three hits.
Annawan-Wethersfield took both games of a doubleheader Saturday with Williamsfield, 18-9 and 6-5 (5 innings). The Lady Titans scored 10 runs in the first inning in game one en route to that victory.

Monmouth College lost to Buena VIsta 10-6. Five errors helped cost Monmouth College (3-11) a victory.
Illinois College beat Knox College twice Saturday, 3-1 and 10-0.

Monmouth College (4-9) took both games of a double-header Saturday with Robert Morris, 8-3 and 4-3.
HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS
Galesburg's boys lost to both Peoria Richwoods Saturday 8-1 and to Dunlap 7-2. Brandon Meeker won his singles matches in Game one, while Meeker and Thad Santos won doubles matches versus both teams.
