Monmouth College swept a doubleheader against the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
The Fighting Scots won the first game 5-2 and the finale of the twinbill 7-2.
Monmouth (5-11) Robbie Hinkle had three hits with a solo homer in the opening game, Tom Shaver added three hits and Corey Gruber earned his third win on the mound.
Freshman Tyler Johnson earned the win in the second game, pitching six innings and giving up three hits and one earned run to earn his first college win.
Kyle Higginson went 3-for-5 in the nightcap. Hinkle added two more hits and finished the day 5-for-7 at the plate.

Carl Sandburg College lost a pair of games Sunday against Kankakee Community College.
The Chargers lost the first game 6-4 and dropped the finale 11-1.
Caleb Weaver and Tony Valdes had three hits apiece and each drove in a run in the doubleheader. Ryan Yoho and Coty Connour added two hits each. Connour drove in two runs and Yoho one. |
