@ Geneseo:

Galesburg (19-11) gets another crack at Rock Island (21-6) in the most important game of the season for both teams.

Friday night's regional championship contest will be the third meeting between the two teams. Rocky won the first two games: 48-45 at the Rock Island Fieldhouse (December 11) and 56-42 at Galesburg (February 5).

The Rocks, ranked #6 in the state in Class 3A, beat Geneseo 45-29 in the semifinals. The Silver Streaks blew out Dixon 76-47. Galesburg's last win against Rock Island was last season in the first meeting between the teams on Rocky's home floor (68-62) when the Rocks were ranked among the state's top five. It was Mike Reynolds' first Western Big Six Conference victory as the Silver Streaks' head coach.

The Geneseo Regional winner advances to the Ottawa Sectional Wednesday night to play the winner of the LaSalle Regional. Pregame coverage begins at 7:06 Friday night on WGIL AM 1400 and online www.wgil.com.

@ Peoria Notre Dame:

Peoria Central (18-8) meets #1 ranked Richwoods (25-2) in Friday night's regional championship game. The winner advances to the Ottawa Sectional to play the winner of the Bartonville Regional.

@ Bartonville:

Morton (21-4) plays #4 seed East Peoria for the regional crown

@ LaSalle:

Another #4 seed, Morris, plays for a regional championship. The Redskins square off against #2 seed Streator in the regional championship match-up.


@ East Moline:

United Township (18-7) squares off against Quincy (19-6) in Friday night's regional championship match-up at the Panther Den. Quincy gained a share of the Western Big Six title with Rock Island by edging U-T 71-68 in the regular season finale for both teams last Friday night at East Moline. The winner moves on to the Pekin Sectional to play the winner of the Normal Regional.



@ Bushnell:

Orion (25-8) meets Lewistown (23-6) in Friday night's sectional championship game. The meeting is a rematch of last season's sectional championship game that was won by the Lewistown as the Indians went all the way to the state finals for the second straight season. The winner advances to the Jacksonville Supersectional and will meet the winner of the Nokomis Sectional.

@ Nokomis:

Nokomis plays Madison in the sectional championship game


@ Farmington:

#2 ranked Peoria Manual (21-7) square off against Kewanee (18-14) in the sectional championship game tonight. The winner heads to the DeKalb Supersectional at NIU's Convocation Center against the Byron Sectional champion.

@ Byron:

Two state-ranked teams play for the sectional championship as Princeton meets unbeaten Winnebago

Oswego (29-2) plays Hillcrest (27-3) at 12:15 p-m

Springfield (31-2) plays Lombard Montini (31-2) 2:00 p-m

CLASS 4A state semifinals games Friday:

Bolingbrook (27-1) plays Arlington Heights Hersey at 6:30 p-m

Oak Park Fenwick (31-3) plays Chicago Whitney Young (27-2) at 8:15 p-m
