High School Boys Basketball - Postseason



@ Geneseo:

Geneseo beat Sterling 56-38 in Monday night's play-in game. The Maple Leafs advance to Tuesday night's semifinal game against top-seed Rock Island. #2 seed Galesburg tries to extend its season Wednesday night against #3 seed Dixon.

@ Peoria Notre Dame:

Dunlap ended Peoria Woodruff's season with a 40-36 victory. The Eagles meet #1 ranked Peoria Richwoods Tuesday night in the semifinals. Wednesday night's other semifinal game pits #2 seed Peoria Notre Dame against #3 seed Peoria Central.

@ Bartonville:

East Peoria downed Metamora 47-41to advance to Tuesday night's semifinal game against #1 seed Washington. Morton and Limestone meet Wednesday night for a spot in the regional championship game.

The Class 4A East Moline Regional begins Tuesday with top seed and Western Big Six co-champion Quincy taking on #4 seed Pekin. #2 seed United Township and rival #3 seed Moline meet in Wednesday night's other semifinal game.


The Class 1A and 2A sectionals begin Tuesday night.

Brimfield takes on Lewistown in the first semifinal game of the Class 1A Bushnell Sectional. The Indians of Brimfield are ranked #4 in the state. The Lewistown Indians hope to stay alive and move toward a third straight appearance in the state finals. State-ranked Orion and Camp Point Central square off in the other semifinal game Wednesday night.

Rock Island Alleman squares off against Kewanee in the first semifinal game of the Class 2A Farmington Sectional Tuesday night. #2 ranked Peoria Manual plays Fieldcrest in Wednesday night's other semifinal game.

High School Girls Basketball - Postseason

Class 3A and 4A high school girls basketball teams are vying for spots in this weekend's state tournament at Redbird Arena.


Peoria Richwoods lost to Hillcrest 55-47 in Monday night's Streator Supersectional. The defending champion Knights' season ends with a 24-11 record.
