Four Track Scots to National Meet
Three Monmouth College men and one woman will be representing the Fighting Scots at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships Friday and Saturday at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana.

Senior Gloria Lehr (Knoxville, Ill./Knoxville) will be making another appearance at the National Meet after qualifying in the women's shot put. Her effort of 43'9-3/4 from the January 23rd Midwest Invitational seeds her 13th heading into the prelims this weekend a little more than 5' back of the top qualifier.

Logan Hohl (Orion, Ill./Orion) returns to the championships and leads three junior men to the NCAA meet. Hohl's 55-meter hurdles time of 7.63 ranks him 11th, just over two-tenths off the top qualifying time. The hurdle specialist clocked his season's best time at the February 6th Keck Ecumenical at Illinois Wesleyan.

Nick Byom (Gilson, Ill./Knoxville) and Tyler Hannam (Woodhull, Ill./AlWood) are making their first appearances at the DIII meet in the high jump. Byom cleared a season-best 6'9-3/4 at Monmouth's Midwest Invitational in January. Hannam cleared 6'8-3/4 at the Midwest Conference Championships two weeks ago to improve his position. Byom is tied with the nation's third-best height and Hannam is tied for eighth. Two other athletes are tied for the nation's best mark at 6'10-3/4 set two weeks ago.

The men's 55 hurdles will run the prelims Friday evening. The men's high jump and women's shot put will be contested Saturday afternoon.
